To celebrate the sixth Chinese Farmers’ Harvest Festival, the “Bayueba” Harvest Festival was held in Daping Village, Danqing Town, Jishou City, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture on September 22. It showed the achievements of industrial development and the development of characteristic agricultural products in Danqing Town.
As a traditional Miao characteristic festival in Danqing Town, the festival has distinctive themes, strong local flavor, and original cultural charm, and shows the joy of Miao people for the harvest.
At the event, the Miao people from the surrounding villages sang Miao songs and performed lion and dragon dances as well as traditional farming practices.
“I am very happy to participate in this event. Today, we expressed the joy of harvest with dance. I hope that more such activities will be held in the future,” said a villager.
